would like to kindly invite all scholars representing different philological disciplines and theoretical models to

6th Annual Siedlce Forum for Contemporary Issues in Language and Literature

to be held online on November 25-26th, 2021 to present their research findings (not previously published or presented) in oral sessions in English.
The leitmotif of the conference is:

exploration of hybrid cultures and/or languages * cultural hybridity in colonial and postcolonial literature * use and exploration of hybrid languages within literary works * creation and function of fictional hybrid languages in literary works * blending of literary genres in narrative fiction * combining reality and fiction within literary works * blending of science, religion and magic in narrative fiction for children and/or adults * creating narratives or works of art by combining literature (the written text) with other media and art forms * machine versus human translation * meaning and context * hybrid methods/approaches in linguistic research * language contact and change * challenges in teaching EFL/ESP * AI in teaching EFL/ESP * machine learning and linguistics rules * experimental (linguistic) research methods * theoretical and practical view on terminology * cognitive aspects of terminology * terminology and ontologies * modern terminography and lexicography * terminological databases * corpus studies * terminology training * technologies in terminology work.

The conference will be a virtual event. The organizing committee will commit as much as they are capable of to ensuring all the participants will have the IT support they need to access the conference.

Oral Sessions

Each presentation in the oral session will be scheduled for a 20-minute talk followed by a 10-minute discussion.

Abstract Submission

An abstract of 200-300 words (including bibliography) should be submitted by November 1st, 2021 in .doc format via e-mail to katarzyna.kozak@uph.edu.pl. Your abstract must be accompanied by the following information: name of the author, title of paper, affiliation, academic degree, research area, and a biographical note of 60-80 words in length. Notification of acceptance will be sent by November 5th, 2021.

The registration form will be soon available at our official site. If you wish to receive an invoice, please check the Invoice Box in the registration form.

Conference Fee

All participants are requested to return the registration form and pay the conference fee by November 10th, 2021. The fee is EUR 50 or PLN 230.

Publication

After the conference, the articles will be published in a peer-reviewed volume. The articles need to be submitted by March 15th, 2022 to katarzyna.kozak@uph.edu.pl. Further information concerning publication as well as submission guidelines will be available soon on the conference website.
